Those of us passing through Ion Orchard lately have seen the boarded up premises of the new Sephora store, just waiting for it to open. The time has finally come, and as if a new store with loads of exclusive beauty brands wasn’t enough, there are also gift vouchers for the first 500 shoppers in line (the first 50 get a $100 voucher) tomorrow.
Lines and vouchers aside, there are so many other reasons to check out the brand new store once it’s open. There are loads of new brands that have come or are coming to Sephora stores this year, and some of them are exclusive to the Ion store.
For now though, here are the most exciting launches you’re going to want to snap up when the store opens tomorrow, before they’re all gone!
I have only been waiting about two years for Cover FX to hit our shores. Sure, it was available on Luxola and then Sephora.sg, but it’s really hard to figure out your perfect shade when shopping online and these beauties are not exactly easy on the wallet. That said, discovering your shade and exploring the world of these products (especially the Custom Cover and Infusion Drops) will quite possibly change your life. Also, if you haven’t seen the Custom Enhancer Drops, these bronzers and highlighters look like liquid metal and are to die for (seriously, just Google the swatches right now).
Instead of launching these babies at the Urban Decay standalone stores first, the brand has tied up to drop all 100 at once at the Sephora opening. They will be available at UD stores next month, but if you want to get your hands on them and swatch them now, head on over to Sephora. The lipsticks are stunning and 100 shades means something for everyone! You can also take a look at 10 of our favourite pinks and nudes that we swatched earlier this week for some inspiration.
I have a love-hate relationship with limited edition beauty collabs. I love them because they’re a little like having a piece of someone you really admire (if it’s a celeb collab), but at the same time they are almost always hard to get a hold of and if you don’t buy it now you might never get to. And lastly, wanting to own all the pretty palettes ever is a very real first world problem.
If you’ve ever watched a Grav3yardgirl video, you’ll know how impossibly eccentric and loud Bunny is. That said, her Tarte palette is surprisingly tame and wearable, and has nine eyeshadows, a highlighter, blush, and bronzer. The shades are all named after quirky Bunny-related things like her videos, random phrases, or her boyfriend.
Tarte is also going to be launching all their new releases and there are So. Many. Beautiful. Nudes! Be sure to check out the Lippie Lingerie Matte Tint crayons and the new nude Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blushes.
The Ion store will have a very special (and world’s first!) Shop-in-Shop concept which is essentially its own standalone section- and boutique-type deal within the Sephora store. Ion will be the only Sephora outlet to carry the entire Kat Von D range of products, so it’s the best place to start! While the brand has already been available online at Sephora.sg (and selling really well), we know how important it is for most of you to try out the shades on yourselves first. For an idea of what to pick up, check out our pick of the top five KVD bestsellers that you need to shop before they sell out.
If you’ve been iffy on buying designer makeup brushes due to high price points and questionable quality or if Sephora’s best brushes have simply been constantly sold out, then you need to check out Zoeva’s line. Makeup artists use these and the brushes are actually really great quality for the price! They’re available online, but now you get a hand’s on feel of the bristles in-store. The brand also offers some super stunning eyeshadow palettes that are high quality but affordable, and come in really slim lightweight cases that are great for traveling. I can’t rave about this brand enough.
