Ever wondered what it would be like to take a subway train down New York City (NYC)? Well, with Kiehl’s latest pop-up, you’ll be able to do just that! The brand will be bringing the gritty, urban landscape of the city with the Kiehl’s NYC Subway Skincare Discovery Pop-up at ION Orchard, an experiential installation that will immerse visitors into the exciting Kiehl’s universe.
Visitors will be able to “hop” onto the subway and discover 171 years of skincare through various interactive touchpoints such as a welcome by iconic Kiehl’s mascot Mr Bones, photo opportunities within the NYC Subway-themed installation and plenty of fun ways to discover facts and anecdotes about Kiehl’s through the years.

The pop-up will be launched in conjunction with the rollout of Kiehl’s new creative campaign, “We Skincare About You Since 1851”, and serves as a great way to showcase to the community Kieh’s new and evolved look.
With personalised service as one of the key pillars of the brand, it seems befitting that the campaign pays homage to the skill and signature human touch of the brand’s 4,700 global Skin Pros, the dedicated Kiehl’s personnel committed to building personal connections with customers and assisting them with their skin concerns through personal consultations.
Shot by celebrity photographer Damon Baker, with type treatment designed by artist Tyrsa, the campaign spotlights the Skin Pros alongside Kiehl’s efficacious products through stunning and modern visuals.
“Ride” the New York City subway and consult with a Skin Pro
If visitors want a chance to get up close and personal with a Skin Pro, from 2 September to 11 September, they’ll be able to do just that at the pop-up. Aside from having fun exploring the installation, they’ll be able to educate themselves on the brand’s heritage, equip and purchase efficacious skincare solutions via an in-depth diagnosis with a Skin Pro, as well as learn about the brand’s latest release — Kiehl’s Retinol Fast Release.
Staying true to the theme, each visitor will receive a subway map and be able to sample formulas from Kiehl’s Dermatologist Solutions™ range. Visitors can also expect to win limited edition Kiehl’s souvenirs when they play interactive games in the subway, take Instagram-worthy shots at the vertical garden wall of natural ingredients and even dress in a lab coat for a photo at the Kiehl’s Dermatologist Solutions™ lab.
Through a personalised and in-depth skin diagnosis with Kiehl’s Skin Pros, visitors will also be able to find out more about their skin needs and tailored skincare solutions from Kiehl’s via the Derma Reader Pro. Using Kiehl’s new Derma Reader technology, the machine will be able to do a skin analysis and measure up to eight different concerns — such as UV damage, clogged pores, wrinkles, to name a few — on the surface and subsurface to enable you to understand how to treat and prevent existing skin concerns.
Vistors will also be able to take home a complimentary 6-piece Kiehl’s sample kit most suited for their skin. Exclusive Kiehl’s sets will also be available for purchase at the pop-up shop.
To really recreate the vibe of New York buskers in the subway, there will also be live performances by local singers Aisyah Aziz, Glenn Yong, Hashy Yusof and more. Additionally, one lucky visitor will also be able to experience New York for real as visitors will be able to win a pair of flight tickets!
The Kiehl’s NYC Subway Skincare Discovery Pop-up will be at ION Orchard from 2nd September to 11 September 2022 and will be open form 10am to 10pm daily.
