Zoe Tay’s vampy dark red lipstick look
custom

Tired of swiping on the same ol’ blue-toned red lip you wear every December? Switch things up and sport a dark red lipstick, like veteran local actress Zoe Tay does here. For a more subtle look, blot it and turn it into a stain. For a crisp and dramatic finish, line your lips with a matching pencil and sharpen the edge.

Bella Ranee Campen’s twisted rope bun
custom

Spice up your tired bun with this romantic up-do seen on Lazada ambassador Bella Campen. To recreate this look, start by gathering your hair into a high ponytail. Divide the ponytail into two sections. With the section on your right, twist hair to the right. Repeat this step with the section on the left while holding onto the right. With the section on the right, twist it to the right and take the section up and over the left section. Secure the ends with an elastic. Gently loosen the hair in your rope braid to create more volume. Take the rope braid and twist it around the ponytail securing it with an elastic. Voila, you’re done!

Jeanette Aw’s sizzling smokey eyes
custom

This festive season, don’t be afraid to take a walk on the dark side and rock this smokey eye makeup look inspired by local actress Jeanette Aw. It’ll look phenomenal paired with a red or green number (or a LBD, of course). The key to keeping this look clean is to concentrate the darkest point at the lash line. Also, keep it simple! Don’t use more than 3 shadows. Top it off with a liner to accentuate your peepers and a swipe of nude lipstick.

Jessica Jung’s slicked-back ponytail
custom

Korean idol Jessica Jung experimented with a high-shine ponytail with a deep side part. How chic! Pro tip: to clean away any flyaways, apply some light gel around the hairline.

Irene Kim’s crimson lips and bold, winged liner
custom

Follow model Irene Kim’s lead and channel Old Hollywood glam by teaming bright red lips with bold, winged liner. To get the look, choose a long-wearing red lipstick or stain. Go full-on with the lippy before blotting with a tissue to ensure it stays on all day. As for the sexy, winged liner, start at the outer corners of your peepers and angle the line upwards, following the shape of your eyes.

Son Na-eun’s soft Korean curls

To emulate Apink Na-eun’s big soft curls, lay the curling iron at the root of the mane on the top of your head and keep it there for a few seconds.

Lee Sung Kyung’s sweet peach look
custom

For a muted yet sweet makeup look like Lee Sung Kyung’s, stick to the same peachy pink colour palette for your eyes, cheek and lips. To complete your monochrome makeup look, swipe on a coat or two of mascara and brown brow gel to look put together in a pinch.

Hyeri’s gradient lip
custom

Girl’s Day’s Hyeri subtly amped up her look by sporting a gradient pink lip. If you want the same effect on your pout, start off with a layer of dark pink matte lipstick. Rub you lips together to spread the colour. Next, with a lighter brighter pink lippy, dab it on the centre of your lips with your fingers. Voila, you’re done!

Seolhyun’s coloured contacts
custom

For a low-commitment way to switch up your look, take a leaf out of Korean idol Seolhyun’s book and put on some coloured contacts. She paired her blue tinted grey contacts with glitter shadow at the inner corners of her eyes to brighten them up.

Joy’s ‘90s supermodel makeup look
custom

The ‘90s are back, so it’s little wonder that this all-over nude look seen on Red Velvet’s Joy is having a bit of a moment right now. The key to this look is the bold cat eye. You want to line both your top and bottom lash line with a liquid eyeliner and layer on some mascara for an eye-catching festive makeup look. Pair the statement flick with a slight contour on your cheeks and jawline, filled brows and nude lip and you’re good to go.
