8 best beauty looks from the Screen Actors Guild Awards 2020

There’s no better place than the red carpet of an awards show to get inspiration for some head-turning beauty looks that these A-listers rocked

by Nadine Chua  /   January 21, 2020

From Jennifer Aniston’s amicable reunion with Brad Pitt to Parasite’s history-making win as the first foreign language film to pick up award for the best motion picture cast, the 26th Screen Actors Guild Awards was surely a night to remember.

Many of our favourite Hollywood celebs grazed the red carpet with power jumpsuits and dazzling silver gowns, and while we absolutely adored their outfits, it was the makeup looks that some of these A-listers had that caught our eye.

This year’s beauty trend seemed to be all about long, luscious lashes and nude lips, and we’re on board. Here are the 8 beauty looks that we absolutely love.

The Riverdale star kept her look classic this year by letting her full, defined brows take center stage. She also kept with the nude coloured theme with a light flush on her cheekbones and mauve, baby pink lips (here’s a guide on how find the right pink lipstick for your skintone).

This year she skipped on the smoky eye and eyeliner and yet, our attention was still on her eyes.

Looks like all you need for a fierce eye look is a good brow pencil and super long lashes.

South African-American actress who played the evil queen in Snow White and The Huntsman back in 2012 has made us fall in love with pink eyeshadow (here’s how to wear pink eyeshadow to work) all over again.

Her makeup was kept simple to let her shimmery baby pink eyeshadow stand out, and she even popped on some high-shine lip gloss to complement her eye look.

Fun fact: she added a $15,000 bracelet on her hairline to cover her dark roots and for some fun bedazzling action. This 44-year-old actress truly knows how to rock a red carpet.

No one had lashes like the X-Men actress on Sunday night. Both her upper and lower lashes were curled to perfection, and they made her baby blues stand out even more than they already do.

A dash of purple shimmer was also added to her lids to tie the whole look together.

No wonder people couldn’t stop talking about her red carpet entrance with beau Joe Jonas in hand.

Yes, nude lips are on trend right now but who else better to stand out from the crowd than the iconic Black Widow?

With fluttery, long lashes and popping cheekbones to match her coral red lips, Scarlett Johansson grazed the red carpet and all eyes were on her.

We also love how she sleeked her hair back into a high bun to make her makeup look the star of the show.

If you’ve watched Stranger Things, you’ve probably got your eye out for this up and coming Hollywood actress. This 15-year-old looks like she means business with her dark, smoky eye and her chiseled, contoured cheeks.

Recreate this look by adding a dark brown to your outer lids and blending it inwards. Top it off with a light shimmer in your inner corners for maximum shine and don’t forget a nude lip gloss to tie the look together.

You probably know her as Haley Dunphy from Modern Family, but we know her as the queen of luscious lashes. Every time she steps out onto the red carpet, her eyes are what everyone’s fixated on, and this year’s SAG awards is no different.

Long lashes aside, her purple floral ensemble matched perfectly with her lilac eyelids and baby pink lips, and she had her hair sleeked back so all the attention would be on her stunning makeup.

This multi-talented actress and singer rocked the red carpet with her pixie cut that will probably inspire many to make the chop. Her short hair helped bring our focus towards her high cheekbones and orange blush that matched her peachy strapless dress.

We also love the cat eye she’s rocking and the shimmery inner corners that stood out in her otherwise matte look.

Imagine our reaction when American actress Jennifer Garner stepped out of the limo with an all-red ensemble. She truly channeled the Old Hollywood style with her floor-length red gown with bright red lips to match.

Her eyes were kept simple and smoky, and her cheeks flushed with a dash on pink. It’s definitely the look of the night, if you ask us.
