My recent hunt for quality tinted eyebrow gels was driven by a hairstyle change (hair contouring story). My hair was dyed one or two shades lighter as a whole, and even lighter highlights were put in. This left my rather dark eyebrows looking woefully out of place. The thing is, my brows are naturally quite a dark black, which means they’re devoid of any warm tones, which were now all over my head.
As I’ve been on my no-makeup kick for the last few months, having such brown hair made my naked dark brows look a little sad and in need of help. I was turning to my trusty brow pencil to fill in the gaps and hopefully alter the colour of my brows in the process. The only problem was, that now all my brow products were too dark to match my new hair.
And so my hunt for a quick and easy solution began. I have to admit, a couple of these solutions were discovered by my very own mother. She had been searching for pigmented brow gels as well, though for a rather opposing purpose – she wanted something that would cover grey eyebrow hairs. Still, our needs were the same, and I decided to try two of the products she’d recently acquired. Spoiler alert: I loved them.
All of these products do a great job at covering the colour of your current eyebrows, although I wish that some of them had more of a shade range.
