Yoga has great appeal among Singaporeans and has been growing in popularity every year. It’s a great exercise that helps stretch out the tension that has set in from sitting at our desks the entire day. And not only does it promote physical wellness, it improves your mental well-being as well. So while we scuttle to and from yoga sessions – only slowing down to take deep breaths during the session itself – the last thing we want to do is to have added stress from packing and carrying things that are not exactly needed for the session. Here’s our list of six must-bring beauty products to tote to your next yoga session that won’t weigh down your bag, or mood.

These cleansing sheets from Senka double as both makeup remover wipes (because you shouldn’t be wearing makeup to exercise) and to help you freshen up after your yoga session (because it has a signature natural silk cocoon essence and hyaluronic acid to moisturise skin). Plus, the sheets are not too big (about the size of your palm), so even a pack of 10 sheets doesn’t weigh that much.
Available at Watsons, Guardian, Don Don Donki, BHG, Lazada, Shopee, Metro and Robinsons.
A sunscreen that offers stronger UV protection the more you perspire is a godsend for anyone who exercises, or perspires, or both. That’s why we love this tinted sunscreen from Shiseido – it’s mess-free and allows for easy touch-ups. There’re also a bunch of benefits in the high-tech formula – it forms a film on skin that prevents perspiration from pooling, so it can evaporate faster; it has what the brand calls contouring powders, that help reflect light to make you look slimmer; it has ingredients that help prevent the formation of dark spots and wrinkles; it has amino acids to keep skin looking healthy; and it has found a way to mix its fragrance components with your perspiration to make your perspiration smell fresh too. The compact is also dermatologist-tested, non-comedogenic formula and comes in five tinted shades.
Available at Shiseido.

It’s good to tote this oil-free face and body sunscreen around to touch up your sun protection, especially if you remove your makeup before your yoga session or wash your face after. Specially formulated for outdoor sports, this sunscreen is friction- and sweat-resistant, and is said to hold up even under high temperature and humidity (perfect for those who love hot yoga). It also has hyaluronic acid and royal jelly extract, to help hydrate skin, and is lightweight and applies without leaving a sticky or greasy afterfeel.
Available at selected Watsons and Guardian, Don Don Donki and Welcia BHG.

If you haven’t tried a cleansing stick before, you probably wouldn’t know how super convenient it is. It’s mess-free since there is no chance of it spilling out, which makes it great for travel and your gym and yoga sessions. Plus, this one from makeup artist and facialist, Frances Prescott, cleanses, exfoliates and moisturises in a single step, and you can even choose to rinse or tissue it off. And it’s also super nourishing for your skin, with a blend of oils such as sunflower seed, sweet almond kernel, wheat germ and rice bran, to name a few.
Available at Net-A-Porter.

Any type of exercise that gets your blood pumping will likely cause reddened skin, especially if your skin is sensitive. It’s not exactly bad, and some may even call it a post-exercise glow, but if you want to calm your skin down quickly, your best bet is to spritz on a calming facial mist. This mist cools, soothes and hydrates skin immediately, and helps provide antioxidant benefits that combat free radical damage from external aggressors.
Available at Sephora.

Unless you’re heading out for dinner or drinks (or to work, if you’re a morning yoga person), you would likely prefer to head home and have a slow and relaxing shower instead of a quick rinse at the yoga studio. This alcohol-free, roll-on deodorant has sage leaf, zinc ricinoleate (an odour-absorbing agent) and wasabi extract to reduce and mask odours to make your journey home a little more pleasant. We like its gender-neutral, herbaceous fragrance too.
Available at Aesop.
