When it comes to skincare, you’ve been very diligent with your daily routine. In fact, you might have even started using anti-ageing products in your mid-20s. But there are times when products aren’t enough and you need a little more help.
This is where non-invasive aesthetics treatments come in, to treat and reduce the signs of ageing – such as skin roughness, dullness, pigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles and more – before they have a chance to damage your skin.
Is that even possible? Apparently, yes.
It’s never too early to start getting professional help to take care of your skin. In fact, Dr Karen Soh, medical director of Privé Clinic, recommends starting on gentle, non-invasive treatments that help boost your skin’s natural collagen production as a preventive measure.
And even if the signs of skin ageing have already set in, all’s not lost. These aesthetics treatments from Privé Clinic help your skin at each stage of the ageing spectrum. Dr Soh breaks down the signs of ageing at the different stages and recommends the treatment combinations that work best.
You’ll Notice
Skin dullness, blotchiness, visible pores, rough texture. At this stage of your life, the body produces less ceramides, which are the molecules that surround and nourish the skin cells. The results in drier skin. Skin firmness also begins to decrease.

Privé Signature Anti-aging Facetherapy + Exilis Elite Facelift
What They Do
Privé’s Signature Anti-aging Facetherapy is a medi-facial that targets the signs of premature ageing, like rough skin texture, dull skin tone and dryness. It combines Swedish skincare products from Cliniccare with US FDA-approved Omega Light Therapy to protect, repair, hydrate and sculpt the face.
The treatment starts with a peel to gently remove dead skin cells, then replenishes skin with moisture and nutrients using hyaluronic acid and anti-ageing serums to boost cell renewal for a more radiant complexion.
Depending on your skin concerns, a corresponding light is chosen – red to promote collagen, blue to reduce bacteria, green to target pigmentation, and yellow to reduce redness and boost circulation.
This is complemented with the Exilis Elite Facelift, a non-invasive face contouring treatment that uses radio frequency (RF) and ultrasound to encourage skin to produce collagen. This helps to firm and tighten skin. Dr Soh recommends that you start Exilis Elite when you’re in your 20s, as it allows you to proactively rebuild collagen and elastin before the lines start to set in.
You’ll Notice
The appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Smile lines, frown lines, lip lines also become more apparent, along with mild sagging, as collagen and elastin fibres start to break down.

Thermage + Exilis Elite Facelift
What They Do
You can address the appearance of lines, wrinkles and the beginning of sagging with Thermage. Thermage is well known as a non-surgical face lift. The treatment heats the skin from the deeper collagen-rich layer to stimulate it to make new collagen by using a patented Mono-polar Capacitive Radio-Frequency (RF). More collagen means your skin gets firmer, and looks lifted and plump.
Although this treatment involves heat, the applicator alternates between dispersing heat and cold, so you feel comfortable throughout. And compared to earlier generations of Thermage, the treatment time is reduced by 25 per cent.
Then, to give skin longer-lasting results, Dr Soh recommends the Exilis Elite Facelift as a maintenance after 6 months. As the treatment uses RF and ultrasound energies, it is able to deliver heat in a controlled manner to promote collagen production to firm and tighten skin from within. This not only treats your current signs of ageing, but is also said to reduce the chances of developing future lines and sagging.
You’ll Notice
Loss of volume, dehydrated (dry) skin, loss of fat that result in loose skin, sunken eyes and cheeks. Wrinkles and lines also appear deeper and more pronounced.

Ultherapy with Thermage (The Dual Lift Program) + Fillers
What They Do
Dr Soh explains that Ultherapy and Thermage use different forms of energy to lift and firm, so they’re used on different layers of skin. “This Dual Lift Program helps you achieve a slimming effect for a more V-shaped face by lifting and tightening loose, sagging skin around the eyelids, brow line and jawline, while treating fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth, eyes and forehead,” she says.
To deal with the loss of volume and fat, and loose skin, Ultherapy uses micro-focused ultrasound energy that penetrates deep into the skin, up to 4.5mm, to target the facial muscles (these muscles sit at the same layer that plastic surgeons would focus on during invasive facelift surgeries).
So without going under the knife, Ultherapy is able to lift, tone and tighten loose, sagging skin by stimulating new collagen, while also triggering your body’s own natural healing process. The treatment is also safe as your doctor is able to see, through real-time imaging, which parts of your skin to target.
To work on lines and wrinkles, Thermage uses RF energy to target the deep, collagen-rich layer to plump up skin, reducing the look of lines and wrinkles.
To finish – fillers. These are made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance, and are added to the areas of the face that require a bit more help: just above the cheeks, or to pad the area just under the eyes to erase that hollowed, sunken appearance.
The result is a more defined and youthful-looking complexion.
