There’s a very good reason for the team at Her World to celebrate through the weekend as our title was named Women’s Media of the Year last night (Nov 8, 2018).

We were presented the Gold award – the highest accolade for the category – by the Media Publishers Association Singapore (MPAS). For the past five years, Her World has won the Women’s Media award at least three times.

As Singapore’s No. 1 and most-read women’s magazine, we pride ourselves on being the voice of the modern, forward-thinking Singapore woman.

Kudos to our sister titles from Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) Magazines as well for receiving top honours at last night’s ceremony, held at One Farrer Hotel.

Topping the Fashion Media of the Year category was Harper’s Bazaar Singapore, a fashion magazine known for its blend of witty commentary and dynamic photography.

Female, the home-grown fashion and beauty magazine, bagged the silver award in both the Fashion Media of the Year and Videography of the Year categories.

The Peak, a trusted authority on the finer things in life, won Gold for Luxury Media of the Year.

Nuyou Singapore, the Chinese fashion, beauty and lifestyle magazine, took home the Bronze award for Front Cover Of The Year (Consumer) for its December 2017 double cover (featuring actress Jeanette Aw shot in Paris) and its September 2018 cover (featuring the country’s first fashion augmented reality avatar Moomoko with actress Rebecca Lim).

Solidifying its reputation as the one to beat in the industry, SPH, the leading publisher in Singapore and the region was one of the biggest winners of last night with a total of six awards under its belt.

Loh Yew Seng, CEO of SPH Magazines, said: “Receiving the MPAS Awards is testament to our position as one of the leaders in the publishing industry and meeting the needs of our wide range of readers through diverse, quality content across our many platforms, including digital and print. I would also like to take this opportunity to commend the teams behind the scenes for all their hard work, which have indeed been recognised through these awards.”

One more thing: thank you dear readers, for making us your publication of choice. A hearty hurrah and cheers from all of us at Her World as we work towards bringing you great content on all our platforms. Keep calm and read on!
