The Fall 2017 and 2018 seasons showed the resurgence of velvet, with likes of Saint Laurent, Frame and Nomia awash in its opulence. With this latest revival, velvet is getting a proper update, and is no longer relegated to robes and smoking jackets.

And where it may have had a serious relationship with nightlife before, we dare say that there’s no better place to rock velvet than at the office. Hey, at least it’s cool in there. We show you how to wear it.

Monday (Suit Up)

A sleek and sharp pink velvet suit is the very height of fashion. Opt for other materials, like leather and metals, to complement the look.

Dance your way through the day — psst, that’s how we survive our workday — in vermilion velvet boots. Build the rest of your outfit around the shoe, using complementary colours, like oranges and pinks.
