Following Christopher Bailey’s announcement that he will be leaving Burberry in March and Jonathan Saunders’ exit from Diane Von Furstenberg (DVF), Kim Jones is the latest addition to the list of creative directors that have left their companies after announcing that he will be exiting Louis Vuitton. The Fall/Winter 2018 menswear show on Thursday will be his last with the brand.

Recruited by the luxury fashion house in 2011, the men’s artistic director has helmed interesting projects such as the collaboration with New York-based streetwear label Supreme. He also spearheaded the collaboration with Japanese label Fragment Design which was part of the pre-fall men’s collection last year. From his previous collections and collaborations, it is obvious that fashion designer isn’t afraid to break the mold.

Although it is not known who will be taking his place, rumours that Versace and Burberry are keen on recruiting Jones to succeed Donatella Versace and Christopher Bailey respectively.
