Blueprint, the Singapore fashion tradeshow, has launched a campaign to get people to buy – and wear – fashion from emerging Singapore fashion designers.

The W.E.D (Wear Emerging Designers) campaign is totally interactive; by adding the W.E.D “badge” to your Facebook profile photo – go to – you’re not only showing your support, but it also helped fans to attend the campaign’s launch party at Butter Factory for free.

To show your support, all you need to do is adopt the W.E.D e-badge on your Facebook profile photo, share your new status and then tweet about it as well; you can use the #tonightweWED hashtag or follow Blueprint on Titter; @Blueprint_SG.

I’ve long supported the idea that we need to do more to support Singapore-based fashion labels. Anyone in the world can buy and wear an international brand, but only those of us in Singapore can stand out from the crowd, be fashion forward fashionistas and support Singapore all at the same time by “wearing emerging designers”.

There are a huge number of interesting new Singapore based fashion labels that are creating fashion that is not only totally wearable, but also reasonably priced and being picked up by international buyers.

Max.Tan and Depression are just two emerging designers who are developing in leaps and bounds; are these brands the next alldressedup or Raoul?

Raoul and alldressedup both have major international awareness and are worn by celebs like Paula Abdul, Viola Davis, Rebecca Romijn and Zhang Ziyi.

Who knows, what big name star will be wearing which Singapore label next?

If you’re free tonight, don’t miss Blueprint’s Tonight We W.E.D launch party at Butter Factory from 9pm. Entry is free if you flash your W.E.D endorsed profile picture at the door on your smart phone or iPad and the first 150 people will get free drinks on Johnny Walker.
