“I liked its filter net, which prevented me from picking up too much foundation – even when I accidentally pushed down too hard on the cushion. I also liked how it covered any skin redness, and made my skin look naturally even-toned and radiant. And the coverage got me through four hours before I had to touch up.”

Her skin: Combi-dry
“It felt pleasantly light and comfortable on my skin. I liked that it had a matte finish. It was relatively sheer, but offered buildable coverage that helped even out my skin tone nicely, particulalry the redness on my cheeks. My face was shine-free for most of the day, although the drier bits around my nose and eyes started to look a little flaky by midday. I didn’t need any touch-ups as my skin looked radiant throughout the day.

Her skin: Sensitive and acne-prone
“It provided great coverage, nicely hiding my blemishes. It was easy to apply and had a light formulation. I also like that the sponge applicator absorbed little product – no wastage. I was disappointed though, that it wasn’t very hydrating – after four hours, dry patches started appearing on my face.”

Her skin: Dry
“I’ve found the perfect cushion! It was easy to apply, glided smoothly over skin and had really great coverage – I didn’t need any concealer for my blemishes. It gave a natural-looking, velvety finish that felt like a cross between those you get from a cushion and pressed powder. My face felt moisturised all day and didn’t look cakey. Plus it has SPF50/PA+++.”

Her skin: Combi-oily
“This is one of my favourite foundations, its tendency to transfer notwithstanding. First, it gave my face a natural-looking radiance – neither matte nor overly dewy. Second, its extremely lightweight and velvety texture felt almost like second skin. Finally, it took only two layers to conceal my blemishes, which normally require furious touch-ups with a heavy-duty concealer. It’s made my base makeup routine so much simpler!”
