H&M might be a high street retailer, but you’d never have known it at the Versace for H&M collection launch in New York.

In a specially designed building decked out in extreme Versace purple, some of the fashion world’s best models – Abbey Lee, Daphne G, Natasha Poly, Sean O’pry and Lindsay Wixson – strut their stuff for the low-cost collaboration.
The celeb-heavy crowd was just as jaw-droppingly glittering with names like Uma Thurman, Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Hudson and Selma Blair just some of the stars who turned up and later gushed about the Versace for H&M collection as they milled around the room.
“I think it is so exciting for Versace to made available to everyone. The collection is cool, colourful, young and very hip. I can’t wait to see the show,” said Uma Thurman and Selma Blair said: “Versace is so incredible and so glamorous. For kids to be able to buy it is wonderful. Donatella is an amazing woman.”

The star power didn’t stop on the catwalk; the after party celebration saw Prince – yes, Prince, a true 80s icon – and Nicki Minaj perform as “special guests of Donatella Versace.
“It was the perfect evening, so glamorous and special. I loved celebrating the launch of Versace for H&M here in New York, an iconic city in which to showcase this iconic collection. Now I cannot wait for it to finally reach stores and be available to the world”, Donatella said later.
The Versace for H&M collection will be available from H&M Singapore, Orchard Road, from Thursday, November 17.
