Vera Wang ‘shifting into menswear’Vera Wang is reportedly moving into menswear with a tuxedo line.

The fashion designer is best known for creating stunning wedding gowns for the world’s elite, with Victoria Beckham, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez all opting for her creations for their special days.

It’s now been suggested Vera is ready to branch out into other areas of style.

According to WWD, the designer has already inked a deal with The Men’s Wearhouse to make the smart suits.

It’s been suggested she is working with Flow Formalwear on the project. It is the company which has also worked with Jersey Shore’s Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino on his tuxedo line, as well as collaborating with Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein.

Neither Vera nor The Men’s Wearhouse have officially confirmed the news, although in a recent conference call The Men’s Wearhouse apparently discussed a “new licensing arrangement…with a well-known apparel brand, specifically designed for our tuxedo rental business”.

It’s been reported Vera will make the news official at some point today.

Yesterday, the designer confirmed she is launching a children’s line with Kohl’s Corp. Princess Vera Wang will hit stores in August, according to WWD.©COVER MEDIA
