Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli stayed true to the signature codes for which the Italian fashion house is renowned in this pre-fall 2019 collection.
The romantic spirit was never far away — although reworked to fit Japan’s singular aesthetic — with lace, tulle, frills and florals all firmly on the agenda in a largely red-and-black color scheme.
The fashion house signed up an impressive line-up of models for this Japanese show, including Léa Julian, Hannah Motler, He Cong and Yoon Young Bae.
Two current runway stars — Kaia Gerber and Adut Akech — were picked to close this spectacular show.
