Fashion fans, you’ll want to keep your wallets on the ready because there’s a chic new collaboration coming our way later this year. *Cue drum roll…*

Following partnerships with renowned designers such as Jil Sander, Inés de la Fressange and Carine Roitfeld, Uniqlo has just announced that it will collaborate with British fashion label J.W. Anderson for an upcoming F/W17 menswear and womenswear collections.

“Collaborations are incredibly important in design,” notes Jonathan Anderson, founder of his namesake brand J.W. Anderson. “Working with Uniqlo is probably the most incredible template of democracy in fashion, and it’s nice that my design can be accessible to anyone and on all different levels.”

As for Uniqlo itself? “In partnering with J.W. Anderson, one of Britain’s most innovative and creative brands, we will tap into traditions while pursuing progress in designs and fabrics, to craft styles that are enduringly appealing,” says Yuki Katsuta, Senior Vice President of Fast Retailing and Head of Research and Design at Uniqlo.

Anderson will doubtless add his signature forward-thinking touch to this new collection, but what sort of sartorial surprises will he have in store for us this time?

We’ll have to wait a bit to find out. For now, watch the clip above and hear more of his thoughts on this partnership.

Oh, and one last thing: The designs will be available at Uniqlo stores worldwide and online. Watch this space.
