The lower the neckline, the better: That seems to be the overarching mantra embraced by designers for the season. Dominating the A/W ‘18 runways, the navel-to-neck plunging decolletage is a glamorous, sexy and modern trend that we’re particularly keen to take on. It screams “party ready”, is rocked fervently by trendsetters Kim Kardashian and Bella Hadid and an even create the illusion of height by exposing the neck and decolletage. Here’s how the designers did it:
Bottega Veneta’s silver velvet one-piece from it’s A/W ‘18 show is a modern interpretation of the velvet loungewear trend from the aughties. Rocking a relaxed fit at the trousers, a sleeveless design and a deep plunging neckline to reveal a sexy black bralette underneath, Bottega Veneta made sure to anchor the number’s elegance with a couple of edgy black leather accessories. Tom Ford, on the other hand, spared expense in going full-on ‘80s glam with silver sequin-emblazoned, cleavage-baring tuxedo suits with matching leggings in true disco ball fashion.

Saint Laurent put on a brave display with a range of blazer-style dresses, complete with power-hungry shoulder pads while Chloe went for the more modest route with relaxed silk deep V-neck shirts which were tucked loosely into tailored trousers in elegant muted earth tones.
