Nude has been one of the biggest looks in recent months, but as the fashion calendar progresses white is set to take over.

The colour has a bad reputation and is often viewed as hard to wear, but it was prolific on the Spring/Summer 12 runways so if you want to be ahead of the fashion pack this season there is no getting away from it.

At Cynthia Rowley models wore white mini dresses with full skirts, teamed with high metallic sandals. Other options included a simple white dress paired with a khaki vest and a plain white blazer over a chiffon skirt, which was the perfect accompaniment to a pair of patterned jeans.

Diane von Furstenberg showed her iconic wrap dress in white, with some variations boasting billowing chiffon tops.

The see-through fabric is probably one of the best ways to tackle the white trend this season. Pop a shirt over a nude vest if you really want to go for it, or try out a brightly coloured version if the thought of being too pale is scary.

Skin tone is important when it comes to all over white. Obviously the shade looks best if you have a bit of a tan, but lighter-skinned girls can pull it off too. Just add some bright shoes, nail polish or a bag to ensure there is some pop in your look.
