Sunkissed skin, salt in the air, sand in our hair. When we think about going to the beach, we can’t help but wonder about the times we’ve all spent with our friends basking in the Sun. Compared to our now-routine surroundings, we miss travelling overseas for our much-needed beach vacations.
Capturing that timely yearning for a beach getaway, Chanel has conceptualised its latest Coco Beach collection. The range was actually launched back in 2018 as a nod to Gabrielle Chanel who loved the seaside and the outdoors. However, this year, house creative director, Virgine Viard has reimagined the range to include a ready-to-wear line that reflects coastal resorts, the sun, the seaside, and a chic beachside lifestyle.
Here, you can expect floral motifs of camellias intertwined with the House’s double C on blouses, shorts, cycling shorts and swimsuits. As for accessories, the line also sees new additions including a bucket hat, beach towel and wake surfboard — that also sport similar motifs.
But that’s not all. For Chanel’s Coco Beach 2021 collection, the luxury fashion house has also tapped French musical icon Angèle Van Laeken as the face of this range.
“This collection completely suits me: in the celebration of a free, relaxed allure, in the joie de vivre that it exudes. Nothing is more important to me than being comfortable. As it’s a summer collection, it gives you hope, you already want to be there,”— Angèle
The CHANEL COCO BEACH 2021 collection is now available at Chanel’s MBS boutique.
