You’ll easily spot the blue-haired Mademoiselle Yulia from miles away — and her stand-out ombre locks are not the only reason you should keep an eye on this 27-year-old Japanese deejay.
Already a familiar fashion icon in Tokyo and a frequent fashion week goer too, it looks like the rest of the fashion world is finally sitting up to take notice of the stylish disc jockey.
She’s been almost ubiquitous at recent international fashion shows. This Japanese mademoiselle has been spotted everywhere from New York to Milan on the fashion front row of Gucci, Dior, Kenzo, Moschino, Jeremy Scott Autumn-Winter 2014 show and more runway presentations.

And might we add that she’s also pals with Korean stars CL from 2NE1, as well as Big Bang’s Taeyang and G-Dragon — jealous, much?
While we concede that most of us can’t as deftly be fast friends with the rich and famous, you can certainly nab Mademoiselle Yulia’s striking street style.
From her streetwear-loving days (think bomber jackets, statement sweatshirts and comfy sneakers) to her sweet pastel “glamazon” coats, we share how you can steal her style:
Be an accessories queen
This Japanese style star truly loves her eyewear; she’s spotted with a different pair of sunnies nearly every other time she’s photographed on the streets.

Be it vintage-style tortoiseshell or a cool aquamarine (just so matchy with her hair), this star truly loves her oversized sunglasses. To nab her style, we recommend these super chic finds from Singapore eyewear brand Mystic Vintage; you’ll be supporting a homegrown brand too!
She also has a winning accessories combi: who knew drop earrings and oversized sunnies could look so chic together? And don’t forget to layer on the rings too.

Another top hair styling tip: put on a bandana headband. Fold your bandana of choice diagonally across into a triangle, roll it and wrap it around your head. Secure it tight by tying a bow in the middle, just like as Mademoiselle Yulia does hers, ever so often. Very girly, and as the Japanese would say, oh so kawaii.
Get sexy and sporty
This deejay loves her streetwear, which gets a glam touch on days she’s on the front row of fashion shows.
Take cues from Mademoiselle Yulia’s head-to-toe Gucci look: Opt for sporty and sexy mesh details on your dress, for a sheer, sultry effect. Be sure to pair it with strappy sandal heels too.

Another way to wear this athletic-inspired trend? Add a luxe bomber jacket to up your style panache.

Mademoiselle Yulia’s zip-up leather coat for instance, is both sweet and edgy with its pastel hue and bomber jacket-inspired fit.
Her tapered pants — cuffed nicely at the ankles — plus a matching metallic clutch and heels keep the look tailored and chic. While you’ll be hard-pressed to find a similar jacket that easily, you can create an inspired-by sporty look with an oversized sweater or loose-fit boxy top, paired with a statement skirt too.

Or grab a biker-style jacket for extra streetwear oomph and a stylish look that you can wear everyday. And the star has an extra fashion tip to make your sandal heels comfy (and sporty); simply wear your strappy heels with a pair of matching socks. Pair it with a cute mini skirt, a simple tee and heels, and you’re good to go!
