It's great to be able to pass on the news when a Singapore fashion label succeeds in getting a foot-in-the-door of international retail fame. Cult multi-label fashion store Oak, based in New York City, has picked up Singapore fashion brand Stolen to be sold at it’s New York and Los Angeles shops as well as via its online store.

Stolen first showed in New York for the Spring Summer 2014 season at the internationally respected trade show Coterie that is held during New York Fashion Week. Stolen was picked up by Oak to go with it’s existing roster that includes brands like Preen, Costume National and Jeremy Laing.

Established in 2007, Stolen is known for easy-to-wear dresses and tops that have a soft structural feel. Designer Elyn Wong says that the brand’s focus is on “minimalist silhouettes that expose the wearer’s back as a signature design detail”. A look that’s obviously popular in New York; two of Stolen’s looks sold out with two weeks of being launched on Oak’s online store.
