You know your brand is making waves when an international star buys your stuff, right? What about when the same star returns to stock up on your latest collection? Well, the sky is about to be the limit.
Taboo from the internationally renowned American pop group The Black-Eyed Peas discovered Singapore fashion label Depression last time he was in Singapore. And much to the delight of co-founders and designers Kenny Lim and Andrew Low, bought up big and was kind enough to take a few photos with the staff.
Back in Singapore for his gig at Pangaea nightclub at Marina Bay Sands on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, Taboo once again popped into the Depression store to check out the label’s latest collection, and again, buy it up.

The designers were – unfortunately in some ways – in Seoul, Korea, for that city’s Spring Summer fashion week having been one of a handful of Singapore brands invited to show at a dedicated showcase for the first time.
So, while Kenny and Andrew were excited to be featured at Seoul Fashion Week, they were understandably disappointed to miss meeting up with their fan, Taboo. Still, the Depression staff were overjoyed – as you can see in the photo – so it’s certain Taboo was treated as the cool-dude star he is.
