It is undeniable. Chinese New Year is the time when brand new outfits are de rigeur, and more often than not, finding an appropriate outfit can be harder than it looks with the unwritten dress code we have to follow.

Pink, red or gold shades are not a must, but are preferred. Dull shades like black and charcoal, on the other hand, will be frowned upon. With that in mind, we’ve rounded up a few outfits that are bound to please everyone, from your grandmother to your mother-in-law, without looking dowdy in the least.

Have a Happy Lunar New Year!
