When it comes to sneakers, sneaker-heads and hypebeasts are all about the “tech specs” and which basketballer wears which shoe. For people like me ‒ someone who loves sneakers but hates sport ‒ I don’t really care about all that … I just want sneakers that are comfortable and look cool.

The collaboration from Puma with famous NYC-based sneaker designer, Ronnie Fieg, was inspired by the Sakura (cherry blossom) season in Japan; which has led to these awesomely rich pink, red and white ombre coloured R698 Sakura sneakers. They’re just awesome, right?

There’s another pair in ombre burgundy and navy (apparently based on the later part of the Sakura season), the R698 Mid, for those of you who are a little more muted in your love of colour.
