It’s not every day that one finds a perfect balance of comfort and style but in 1978, a young Australian surfer founded the UGG Australia brand against a backdrop of Southern California’s endless beaches and relaxed, casual culture. It was here where the brand’s iconic Classic sheepskin boots were first introduced to the world. In 1995, Deckers Outdoor Corporation purchased UGG Australia and quickly repositioned it from a regional surf brand to a luxury and comfort brand. Soon, men and women everywhere were attracted to the authentic, emotional and individual feeling that came with UGG Australia’s sheepskin boots – even celebrities.
UGG Australia offers a complete range of ballet flats, fashionable clogs and casual shoes for women, mens and kids.
UGG Australia has opened its first flagship store in South East Asia at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, Ngee Ann City. The 900 square feet space features the complete range of women’s, men’s and children’s footwear, as well as handbags and accessories
UGG Australia’s Autumn Winter 2013 collection is now available in the Singapore store. This season’s collection was inspired by New Orleans, with its jazz and architecture style being reflected through the use of distressed leathers and chevron braids. The UGG Australia brand creates products that deliver a unique feeling. No matter what kind of shoe or product they make, it’s going to feel like nothing else.
If you are a girlie girl, you won’t find more feminine boots than the Bailey Bow, $395, and the Josette, $395. Both styles retain the signature UGG sheepskin elements with a feminine dose of pretty ribbon.
If you are craving a little sparkle this holiday period, the Antora Glitter, $195, is a shoe-in while the studded slipper-style Alloway, $240, goes with every party outfit.
The tough chick isn’t left out – the ruggedly sleek Conor Studs, $595, is a great version of the motorcycle boot.
Those who prefer flats will adore what UGG has done with the classic ballet flat – meet the Rohen, $195. The suede upper is – surprise – water-resistant and there’s a secret comfy element in the hidden sheepskin heel pocket.
Channel bohemian flair in a pair of Natalee clogs, $320. This shoe has a sturdy bass wood wedge with criss-crossed buckle straps and a touch of understated hardware in the form of rugged rivets. Wear them with a multi-coloured maxi dress for night or a smart button-down shirt and tailored bootleg jeans for the office.
