The iconic Yellow Boot
In 1973, a yellow waterproof boot was born. Named “The Timberland”, the Abington Shoe Company created the boot to be durable and protective – great for the harsh New England weather. The Timberland proved to be so popular that the company changed its name to Timberland in 1978.
So iconic is the yellow boot that everyone from rugged workmen to celebrities own a pair. In fact, Beyonce recently posted an Instagram picture of her, Jay-Z and their baby Baby Ivy’s matching Timberland yellow boots.

The yellow boot celebrates its 40th birthday in 2013 and Timberland has introduced a commemorative 40th anniversary collection to celebrate this iconic footwear – the 6″ Premium Ruby Red Nubuck boots and 6″ Premium Wheat Nubuck with Sundance Collar boots. Timberland fans will have to be quick to snap these made over “yellow boots” because they are available for a limited time only.
The outdoor lifestyle brand also launches its Autumn 2013 Earthkeepers Heritage collection. This season, Timberlands continues to celebrate its heritage of quality craftsmanship through the use of premium and eco-conscious materials and classic style.

The womenswear range is not to be forgotten about either. This season’s collection has a chic lightweight biker jacket that will be the perfect rugged balance to any ladylike dress.
