If the mind-boggling array of styles and designs of Havaianas flip-flops from its Spring 2012 collection aren’t enough to satisfy your voracious appetite for gaily coloured footwear, here’s an upcoming event you cannot miss.

For the first time in Singapore, the Make Your Own Havaianas (MYOH) event will allow fans to customise their very own pair of Havaianas – customers can choose from six different coloured soles and straps as well as decorative pins, to craft their one-of-a-kind flip-flops.

Go for clashing shades like red soles and green straps if that’s your kind of thing, but we think the magic is really in the pins; go pin-crazy to really make the pair your own.

Already a big hit in cities such as New York, Brazil, London and in the Philippines in Asia – where the MYOH event is now an annual one-week event – its debut in flip-flop loving Singapore this July is likely to drum up lots of excitement.

Havaianas has also promised that customers will be able to watch their customised pair of Havaianas come together on the spot, with each pair taking less than 10 minutes to assemble.

Fast, unique and wallet-friendly, you’ll never settle for regular old Havaianas again.

The Havaianas styles offered for women will be the Slim and the Top for men, and will cost $45 and $37 per pair respectively. Add-ons like decorative pins will cost $1.50 each.

The Make Your Own Havaianas event will take place from July 14 to July 15 at the Havaianas store located at #B1-38 Takashimaya Shopping Centre.
