Singapore multi-label stores Bread & Butter are known for carrying some of the world’s coolest denim and casualwear brands. For Spring Summer 2014 the stores have some great new pieces from brands like Adriano Goldschmied (AG), Kings of Indigo (KOI) and OTZ Shoes which are really worth checking out for their laidback, streetstyle vibe.

Premium denim brand Adriano Goldschmied (AG) was established in 2000 by denim guru Adriano Goldschmied and manufacturing industry leader, Yul Ku, and is known for its “AG-ed Vintage jeans”. The brand is very “eco” and uses “Ozone Technology” to reduce water and chemical and energy use in its manufacturing for example. For Spring Summer 2014 the brand is echoing this love of Mother Nature with a collection of pieces with bird and nest prints in “natural” colours, adding a more urban touch with its Taxi Zip jeans, detailed with a mini zip pocket and the Reagan, a paneled style with ankle zippers along the inseam.

Kings of Indigo (KOI) ‒ another premium denim brand, naturally ‒ have a couple of new jean cuts to check out for Spring Summer 2014. The Sonia is a super skinny jean for the girl with a straighter body shape and the Jennifer is a true bootcut style jean like back in the day; perfect for those of us with a few curves. Don’t miss the brand’s super John Lennon inspired tees too; the New Tokyo slogan on the white t-shirt is a classic look. The King graphic tee on heavy cotton, indigo-dyed with the logo graphic laser burnt into the front are a cool twist on a slogan tee that is worth checking out as well.

If you’re always complaining that you can never find a comfortable casual shoe that isn’t a sneaker, check out the OTZ Shoes Spring Summer 2014 range at Bread & Butter. These shoes are known for their “anatomical engineered, antimicrobial cork footbed” that apparently shapes itself to your exact foot shape within two weeks! The brand was inspired by Ötzi the Iceman who was discovered in the Alps in 1991 after being frozen to death there 5,000 years ago; perhaps one of the weirdest source stories for a fashion brand, the logo is based on Ötzi’s tribal tattoos and the shoes on Ötzi’s handmade pair that still remained after all those years in the ice. There are heaps of bright on-trend colours to choose from in the SS14, so you’re sure to find something to suit; Jennifer Aniston and Gavin Rossdale apparently have.

Bread & Butter stores are located at Mandarin Gallery #01-10 & 02-11; The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands #B2-014; Scotts Square #02-06; Robinsons Orchard, Level 3 and 4 and Takashimaya Ladies Dept, Level 3.
