Now in its 25th year, the iconic homegrown event is back and better than ever with a spanking new name: GSS: Experience Singapore. More than just a sale, it will offer shoppers and visitors the world over a unique Singapore experience by celebrating the best of local fashion, F&B, arts and design.
Taking place from June 21 to July 28, the extravaganza invites all to shop, dine, play and live it up with an array of exciting happenings spread out across five action-packed weeks. From fashion shows to pop-up markets, cultural tours, movie screenings and, of course, thousands of unbeatable shopping deals, GSS: Experience Singapore promises to be the highlight of your social calendar.
Orchard Road Fashion Scramble
Kicking off GSS: Experience Singapore 2019 on a high note is a thrilling, high-octane event, Orchard Road Fashion Scramble, on June 21 (Friday) at 4pm. The outdoor fashion show will include an exciting performance by flash mob dancers, plus 100 models strutting their stuff as they showcase the latest fashion-forward collections from homegrown labels, international retailers, and up-and-coming design students from Lasalle College of the Arts, Raffles Design Institute, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, and Temasek Polytechnic. And that’s not all: True to its name, the open-to-all event will take place right in the heart of Orchard Road at the bustling intersection of Grange Road, Cairnhill Road and Orchard Road – a fitting way to pay tribute to Singapore’s iconic and beloved shopping district.
So mark your calendars for June 21! But before that, here is a teaser of some of the names you can expect at the Orchard Road Fashion Scramble.
The newly inaugurated Design Orchard brings together some of the best homegrown talents – from fashion to furniture, souvenirs and artisanal wares – under one roof. A welcome addition to the shopping district, it will showcase collections from five resident fashion labels: Depression, David’s Daughter, Triologie, Dotted Line and Weekend Sundries.

Best known for her work in the wedding scene, veteran designer Fatimah Mohsin will make her debut on the Orchard Road Fashion Scramble runway with designs from her bridal line, Fatimah Mohsin The Wedding Gallery. Besides her ethereal bridal gowns, the designer will also showcase stylish home furnishings such as cushions and bronze tableware from her home furnishing brand, PropUpStore at The Great Singapore Street Pop-Up from June 21 to 30.
The name Pedro needs no introduction. The perfect combination of sophisticated design and affordability, the footwear and accessories brand is favoured by fashionistas in Singapore and the world over. This season’s Summer collection promises to be stylish yet eclectic – think structured cross-body bags, comfy espadrilles and men’s loafers, candy-coloured bucket bags, and other must-have accessories that add a chic finishing touch to any outfit.
The upmarket shopping mall on Orchard Road is home to some of the established names that will showcase their collections at the Orchard Road Fashion Scramble. They include multi-label boutiques What Women Want, Manifesto, Supplies & Co, and cult Japanese lifestyle store Shouten.
Established 2016, the ready-to-wear menswear label founded by designer Xie Qian Qian, incorporates sustainable fashion concepts into its designs, resulting in minimalist East-meets-Wests pieces with utilitarian silhouettes, in a pleasing palette of muted neutrals and made with breathable fabrics like linen and tencel.
