Continuing to develop its now-signature look of modern, classic silhouettes with a twist, Singapore fashion label In Good Company is releasing its third capsule collection of separates and dresses since its launch in December 2012.

November 1, 2013.

Taking its “signature tailoring, complex draping and in-depth detailing” that are the starting points for designers Kane Tan and Sven Tan (no relation and both former designers for alldressedup); the new collection focuses on new finishes like bonded fabrics.

Hopping onto the sportswear trend, the team have created pieces using stretch cotton and cotton jersey with a high-tech bonding technique for the seams; bonding various fabrics together all allow the designs to much more structural without the weight and warmth of wools, neoprene and leather. Other fabrics have been treated so that it appears more textured, or has a subtle metallic gleam.

Sticking to classic neutral shades, the colour palette has depth added via olive green, smoke, pewter, grey, navy, charcoal and redwood; brighter shades of red, salmon pink, butter yellow and sky blue, offer more options.

On top of its signature plain colours, In Good Company has collaborated with Singapore-based artist and friend, Kuanth, to create a series of “Fantastical Dreamscape” prints; this is the brand’s first print collaboration for its ready-to-wear and mini-me (children’s wear) collections. Kuanth’s child-like style lends itself particularly well to the mini-me pieces.

Leading up to Christmas, and the brand’s first anniversary, In Good Company will be showing for the first time at Digital Fashion Week on November 3, 2013, via a YouTube live-stream event.

The brand is also working with Tangs Orchard for a pop-up shop that will run from November 1, 2013, to February 28, 2014, on level 2. The store will have collaborations with six other Singapore-based creative brands ‒ Kuanth, the illustrator; Code Deco an artisanal perfumer; Mmerci Encore, artisanal aromatherapy and apothecary; Extreme Exotic for exotic leather goods; Ice Cream & Cookie Co. for gourmet ice-cream sandwiches, and Math Paper Press, a small press publisher by BooksActually. You’ll find prints and customised packaging, special scents, aromatherapy spa kits, tote bags with exotic skin details, special edition ice-cream sandwiches and a “broadsheet of short stories” at the pop-up store.

An exclusive fragrance from Code Deco, Blanc One, will also be launched at the pop-up store; the scent was designed to complement In Good Company’s range of white shirts and includes top notes of white ginger lily, freesia and bergamot. A special range of four white shirts will be launched to go with the scent as well (pictured above).

Blanc One will be available at the pop-up shop from December 1, 2013, for $150. There will also be a workshop held on November 30, 2013, featuring Code Deco’s “nose” Gauri Garodia.

In Good Company capsule collection 3 is available from November 1, 2013, from www.ingoodcompany.asia; Front Row, #02-28 Raffles Hotel Arcade, Tel: 6338 2737; and the pop-up store at Tangs Orchard, Level 2.
