We love Korean dramas, K-Pop and Korean beauty brands and of course, we love Korean fashion too. It’s feminine without being too girly, on-trend without being too cutting-edge and unwearable, and it’s generally reasonably priced too!

So here are two brands to check out now, Headline Seoul and new online store Me-In (美/IN).

Headline Seoul has just launched its latest collection for Summer 2014, based on the ubiquitous “sporty trend” that’s been all over the runways for at least three seasons now. The collection is based on Seoul streetwear trends that have been translated into wearable everyday pieces that will take you from office to dinner and are also great for the weekend.

There are two main looks; the oversize shape and the cropped, more boxy, shape. What’s super cool is that you can easily mix and match these two ideas depending on your own style.

WE LOVE: The cute, and casual, “skorts” – basically a pair of shorts with an over-skirt so you get to wear a mini with safety – are a great addition to your weekend wardrobe (pictured above); the day dress with mesh inserts is another great look, especially good for Singapore’s steaming hot weather! ME-IN (美/IN)

New to Singapore, this 100 percent designed and made in Korea brand is especially good for workwear; designer Hyejin Kim creates practical but pretty pieces that are feminine and easy to wear. The online store has everything from basics to shoes, bags and accessories, and the popular way of shooting the pieces on real people helps you work out how the items will look on you.

If you go to the English language site at me-in.kr/english, you’ll see that from now until July 27, 2014, you can get 10 percent off and free shipping to Singapore if you spend more than KRW100,000; that’s only about $125!

WE LOVE: The Hourglass dress, although it’s fitted, it’s not too tight and the colour blocking helps give you a great “s-line” shape (pictured above top); the Classic Tweed crop top is a great buy, it’s not actually too “cropped” as it sits nicely on the waist and looks great with a pencil skirt for work or with jeans or shorts for the weekend.
