For anybody who’s made several sojourns to Seoul or whose playlist consists of the latest K-pop hits, you’ve probably heard of German label MCM by now. Heck, you probably might even own something from the label. But, for those who haven’t, we’re going to distill the brand’s 42 year old history in two sentences – its famed for its signature logo-printed material called Cognac Visetos and their designer Christopher Raeburn is big on environmentally-friendly ways to produce clothing.
Their latest store located at Paragon measures close to a tennis court and offers everything the brand is famous for – leather goods (we’re partial to their backpacks), ready-to-wear apparel as well as shoes and accessories.
If you’re in need of a varsity jacket to pledge your sartorial allegiance, no worries. If you’re just looking to buy a branded plush toy for kicks, go ahead.
For those who want the best of bespoke, you can now indulge in the brand’s Made-to-Order Patricia, which is a service available exclusively for the first time in South East Asia. And like everything these days (food, dating, pet sitting), it’s available on a digital application – just swipe on several colours (five for the brand’s classic Visetos and five for calf leather) until you arrive at a colourway that suits your style.
What’s next? Monogramming up to four initials and sliding your bank card over. Congrats on your spanking new customized carrier. Prices start at $1,450 for a customised bag in Viseto.
The MCM Haus is located at Paragon, #01-26/26A/27.
