Sneakers-lovers, look out, a whole new collection of chic and comfy sneakers is coming to town. Popular French brand Bensimon, which is famous for its rainbow hued and rugged sneakers, will be launching its sneaker collection in Singapore.
Dyed and finished in Europe, Bensimon sneakers are made from cotton and rubber, and can be worn with or without laces. Believing in colour, Bensimon does not create a black pair of sneakers, but have over 14 different shades in every other colour, ranging from pastels to dark navy.
These colourful sneakers may seem to be crafted with poor workmanship, with their colours uneven and jagged, but that is actually part of Bensimon’s signature style – the bobo (bourgeois-bohemian) style – the perfectly imperfect look. Once you get over the non-consistent feel of these kicks, you’ll fall in love with the sophistication and style of the Parisian chic sneakers.
Worn by Hollywood stars Natalie Portman and Liv Tyler among others, the Bensimon sneakers also boast of comfort, a trait everyone loves in shoes. With its ruggedness and adorable pop colour, these sneakers are definitely going to bring a whole new level to the sneaker trend in Singapore.
Bensimons sneakers also come in four styles, the Classic; Elastique which has an elastic band on the front of the sneakers; Elly, the classic sneakers adorned with metallic holes for laces; and the Mid, for those who like mid-cut sneakers.
Bensimon sneakers will be available at Robinsons Orchard in end-October, 2013, and multi-label boutique CommonThread at ION Orchard B2-18 on November 1, 2013. Bensimon Classics will be retailing at $59.90 each and are available in men’s, women’s and kid’s ranges.
