Wonder where the Fred Perry store at Ann Siang Hill has gone too? Look no further than Orchard Road for the answer. A brand new Laurel Wreath collection shop has set up residence in Mandarin Gallery.

If you thought you walked into an independent record store instead of a Fred Perry store, take another glance at the displays. With over 100 12-inch vinyl records sat alongside the brand’s merchandise from floor to ceiling,it’s easy to be mistaken. The interior of the latest Fred Perry shop sticks close to its inspiration – old-school vinyl record shops. Rich woodwork juxtaposes with unfinished concrete floors and an exposed ceiling for a cosy mom-and-pop feel.

The records aren’t just for display, shoppers are encouraged to browse not only the latest Laurel Wreath and Tartan Blank Canvas collections, Raf Simons collaborations and Blank Canvas Collections with Christopher Raeburn but also to look through the records that have been carefully curated to represent the British brand’s music associations. So if you spot a band that rocks your socks, give the vinyl a spin on the in-house record player.

Plus for the very first time in Singapore, the Laurel Wreath collection shop will carry the “Friends of Fred” project. A special selection of brands like Sunspel (maker of fine cotton T-shirts) and GH Bass & Company (creator of the original penny loafer) have been handpicked to contribute pieces to sit alongside the Laurel Wreath collection to offer shoppers the top-to-toe complete outfit.

So the next time you are at Mandarin Gallery, spot the 1.8 metre high neon Laurel Wreath logo and don’t forget to pop in for the best audio-visual experience that Fred Perry offers.

The Fred Perry Laurel Wreath Collection Shop is at #03-08 Mandarin Gallery.
