Although it’s only been a year since top Thai fashion label FlyNow first arrived in Singapore, the brand has just reopened, this time in a much larger space and with with a new bag range.
FlyNow is considered to be one of the best Thai luxury womenswear brands. It was founded in 1983 by Somchai Songwatana at the tender age of 20, and with only US$8,000.
Now a multi-million dollar company, FlyNow was the first Thai brand to show at London Fashion Week in 1995 – and was voted one of the top five labels of that season. It has over 60 outlets in Thailand and is sold in over 200 stores globally; the FlyNow boutique in Singapore is its first international stand-alone store.
The Singapore store carries the brand’s premium ready-to-wear line FlyNow Black Label and the demi-couture and bespoke line, FlyNow Gold Label – both of which will now have more selections available in the new, almost 1,000sqft shop.
On top of these two lines, the leather accessories range, FlyNow Work (pictured above top), will be available in Singapore for the first time. The collection of leather bags and small leather goods are reasonably priced, offering more choices alongside the premium FlyNow Leather hand-crafted bag range (pictured above).
The revamped FlyNow boutique is located at Raffles Hotel Arcade, #02-30, 328 North Bridge Road, Tel: 6338 9697. The boutique is open from Monday to Saturday from noon to 8pm, and from noon to 5pm on Sunday. Prices for FlyNow Work bags range from $85 for wallets to $350 for carry-all bags; FlyNow Black Label, the ready-to-wear line, retails from $120-$450; FlyNow Gold Label, the semi-couture line, starts from $1,500 and FlyNow Leather, the premium leather accessories range starts from $1,000.
