When the days get cold and rainy, there is nothing quite like the comfy and vaguely Brit-cool feeling of wearing an oversized knit. Esprit’s latest Autumn Winter 2012 collection, created with students from the Royal College of Art London, is therefore the perfect excuse to add to your knitwear hoard.

Comprising of knit sweaters, trousers and tops in a multitude of colours and textures, the Esprit RCA Limited Edition collection – the second collaboration between the high street label and College of Art students – is wearable and energetic, reflecting Esprit’s vision of supporting and encouraging budding design talent.

The brief for the postgraduate fashion design students was to tap into the “zeitgeist of their generation” while addressing the question, “Can fashion be sustainable?” Three students, Ryan Mercer, Rachael Hall and Julia Mackenroth emerged as the winners, and now have the global platform to turn their creations into real collections, through Esprit.

The Esprit RCA Limited Edition collection will be available in Singapore in mid-September 2012, at Esprit Raffles City and Esprit Tampines 1, as well as at the Esprit Online Shop. Prices range from $149.90 to $499.90. For more information, visit www.esprit.com
