Cynthia Rowley is collaborating with a first aid company to make bandages.

The womenswear designer is creating bandages with Band-Aid, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson. The bandages will come in a variety of designs. Sequin and imposed images of supermodels are some of the designs that will be featured. Each box of bandages will retail for around four dollars. They are set to hit shelves in America in time for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season.

Before the bandages are available for retail, Band-Aid will preview them in New York for Fashion’s Night Out on September 8. Their parent company Johnson & Johnson will sponsor “a travelling Glambulance to roam the NYC streets rescuing fashion emergencies, fully equipped with a hair stylist, make-up artist and fashionable First-Aid supplies,” according to Elle magazine.

Cynthia has recently released wetsuits in collaboration with surf and swimsuit label Roxy. She has also been honoured by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) as August 2011’s featured designer of the month. Her Mercedes Benz Fashion Week show will be held September 9 in New York City. – © Cover Media
