Chic meets sneaks. Alexander Wang has done it again. This time round, he took his inspiration from the sneaker culture in quite a literal way.
The sneaker-bag hybrids from his recent Spring Summer 2015 collection were inspired by old icons such as Adidas’ Stan Smith and the Nike Air Force 180.
These sport-driven statement pieces feature the same structural facets and skewed proportions of running shoes and were developed with air-bubble-filled rubber and patent leather. They literally look like sneakers – from the mesh accents down to the rubber bottoms.
