Singapore fashion label Arc is known for its streamlined, body-con style with a penchant for monochrome shades and the odd bit of interesting material use (think neoprene lined with silk), but for Spring Summer 2015 designer Islean Valath has gone all out with her use of colour.

The addition of colour to her work is based on the visual style of Lichtenstein paintings combined with mesh and perforated fabrics to give the impression of the “pixel” effect that comes from old comic book printing.

What this means is that the signature sexy silhouette of Arc is now available in a lovely mix of yellow and electric blue with grey, white and black; it’s a very wearable collection. My personal favourite is the white Anime dress (above far left) with a black-striped neckline that has the feel of the cricket sweater (a major trend for SS15 from a bunch of hot Korean fashion labels).
