With over 180 designer brands participating at this year’s Blueprint Emporium, how do you shop, without missing out on the best buys?
To be held on May 18 to 19 at The Pit Building, the Blueprint Emporium is known for bringing in tons of new-to-Singapore brands.
Like a pop-up store, these items will only be available in locally at this two-day event; in short, you won’t be able to purchase these anywhere else in Singapore.
We got a sneak peek at what to expect at the Blueprint Emporium today at the trade and media-only launch; and we’re not exaggerating when we say that the variety of brands available is almost dizzying (yet super exciting!).
(L-R): Fab finds by Lalala London, Mosstories, Helen Lee and OCTA at Blueprint Emporium 2013
On top of that, you need to act fast on your purchases. Most of the labels that we spoke to have brought in very limited pieces of each design that they’re retailing at the Blueprint Emporium.
To help you make your way through the Blueprint shopping frenzy, we share eight of our favourite (and most quirky!) finds here.
Stripe and floral top from Helen Lee, $227 (Original retail price, before discount)
With its zany mixture of flowers, stripes and an eye-popping gradient shade, you’ll more than definitely stand out from the crowd with this top. The Shanghai designer shares that select pieces have already been “reserved” by interested buyers; so do snap it up as soon as you see it.
Mosstories Geometric Blossom Necklace, from $100 to $150 each
The bright colours caught our eye. Then, we did yet another double take when we realised that these necklaces were made of faux leather. Thai designer Moss Srisuwan shared that she brought in extremely limited pieces of these almost origami-like designs; they’re just so new that she has only about one each.
Cameo Paisley Bomber Jacket, $350
Paisley looks unexpectedly sporty on this bomber jacket from Hong Kong-based label Cameo, designed by Norwegian duo Tale and Pernille. This jacket will keep you nice and warm for your travels abroad too.
Cassey Gan Top, $109
This top from the Malaysian label solves your perennial “what to wear” dilemma – just slip this on with black skinny pants, nice heels and you’re all ready to go.
OCTA Leather Bag, price unavailable at press time
Add these pretty pastel-coloured gems to your bag collection; the distinctive octogonal shape (and probably the brand’s namesake) just makes it so unique.
Holstad & Co. Cocktail rings, price unavailable at press time
If you love cocktail rings, be sure to give these gems from the Singapore-based jewellery brand a look. The sparkling stones and the ornate gold bands up the glamour quotient of these dazzling rings.
Madame Flamingo Ice cream heel, price unavailable at press time
These aren’t the only designs with fun heels; Thai label Madame Flamingo has put zany stripes, polka dots, houndstooth and more prints on its funky shoes.
Jellybean tee by Lalalove London, £65 (original retail price, before discount)
Sweet, bright and tantalising. The London-based Thai label is bringing in between just four to six pieces of each of these fun tees; all items are available at up to 50 per cent discount at the Blueprint Emporium.
