Pazzion, Singapore’s very own home-grown footwear brand, got all dedicated shoe lovers excited when it decided to sponsor The Art of Shoes Competition 2016.

Organised by The Academy of Fashion Professions (TaF.tc) in collaboration with Pazzion, e2i and WDA, this competition will give an opportunity to aspiring shoe designers to conceptualise their ideas from dreams into reality. Participants will be in the nurturing hands of TaF.tc’s very own trainers, to be guided and groomed for over four days in preparation for the competition.

The competition focuses on the creative process and workmanship that goes into the making of footwear. Participants will get the chance to show off their capabilities and hone their skills when showcasing their original designs for the three classics; the ballerina shoe, the wedged sandal and the high heel court shoe.

But that’s not the best part; the winner will get a sponsored trip to MICAM 2017, the leading international footwear exhibition, in Milan! (Yes, you read that right!) The winner will also be offered a 2-month mentorship programme as a footwear designer at Pazzion, working with the judge for this competition and the founder of Pazzion himself, Tom Ng.

Eight finalists will be announced in July and will be showcasing their fresh interpretation of the three classics at the finale on October 28, 2016.

If you can imagine yourself as one of the 8 finalists (or better yet, the winner), don’t think any further! Go to www.taftc.org/art-of-shoe-2016 to find out more on The Art of Shoes Competition 2016.
