We seriously thought we’d have seen the back of ruffles by now, but they’re still here floating their feminine way through the catwalk shows and into our wardrobes. Spotted throughout the runways for S/S ‘18, fashion powerhouses that include Erdem, Alexander McQueen, Givenchy (who has sadly passed away this week), Valentino and Ulla Johnson, ruffles have proven they’ve got serious staying power.

Whether you’ve become a seasoned ruffles wearer or you’re still yet to embrace this trend, it’s actually easier to work into your outfits than you first think. The ruffles for this spring aren’t overbearing and will not make you resemble a Spanish flamenco dancer – instead they’re small, soft, delicate and impeccably feminine.  Team them with the other huge trend this spring – Cinderella shoes – and you’ll release your inner princess.
