Richard Nicoll preparing ‘intimate’ showcaseRichard Nicoll is ditching a catwalk show in favour of an “intimate” presentation at London Fashion Week.

The designer has announced new plans for his upcoming Fall/Winter 12 show. He thinks the new format will help people understand how he goes about creating his collections.

“I am excited to be at a stage with the brand where we feel confident to present the next collection in an intimate and special way to our buyers and press that is commercially and creatively relevant,” he is quoted as saying by vogue.co.uk.

“We will employ this format globally throughout the year for the four collections that we produce and sell.”

Richard is known for his work with mobile giant Vodafone and it’s thought his new pieces will include a link between fashion and technology.

The designer is following in some famous footsteps when it comes to his new route. French house Céline recently confirmed its plans are being scaled down due to creative director Phoebe Philo’s pregnancy. Moschino Cheap & Chic are also planning a presentation for their first time showing in London. © COVER MEDIA
