Rachel Zoe does Tiffany & Co windows for the Oscars PORTRAITIf you’re wandering around Ngee Ann City, Raffles Hotel or Marina Bay Sands this weekend make an effort to check out the windows of Tiffany & Co ‒ as if you weren’t planning to anyway.

From Friday, February 17, however, Tiffany’s windows will be even more glamorous than usual thanks to the highly praised skills of über stylist to the stars Rachel Zoe (pictured left).

Known as much for her own personal glamour, her reality TV show and her fashionista catchphrases ‒ “Major!” ‒ Zoe has dressed some of the biggest stars in recent entertainment history including Anne Hathaway, Kate Hudson (a personal friend), Cameron Diaz, Eva Mendes and Jennifer Garner.

Now Zoe is dressing Tiffany’s windows in a celebration of 50 years of Hollywood glamour.

Each of five windows will highlight a particular decade and feature the Tiffany jewels that best capture the spirit of the time.

And Singapore is lucky enough to be included! The other flagship stores to be as lucky are those in New York, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Beverly Hills.

“To see my interpretation of glamour and luxury unveiled in Tiffany’s windows is an amazing experience,” Ms. Zoe said. “Tiffany is one of the most iconic American brands, and I am honored by this wonderful opportunity.”

The 1940s window shows a return to “high fashion” with its boudoir setting, huge flowers, a gown of tulle and sparkling Tiffany diamonds.

The red carpet features in the 1950s themed window display (pictured in an artists’ drawing right) with the arrival of the paparazzi cheekily referenced via vintage cameras and Tiffany pearls.

The 1960s is displayed from the perspective of the Hollywood mansion with a sweeping staircase for a grand entrance and Jean Schlumberger’s Fleur de Mer brooch ‒ on view for the first time since the jeweler acquired it from the estate of Elizabeth Taylor ‒ exclusively in Tiffany’s Fifth Avenue window.

For what is arguably Zoe’s favourite period of fashion history ‒ Nicole Ritchie’s makeover remember? ‒ the stylist has focused on the glamour of black and gold, graphic patters and Tiffany’s gold jewellery embellished with diamonds and gemstones.
