Jil Sander Spring Summer 2012 collection started with a white cotton shirt – one of the brand’s signature looks – and moved into sheer versions showing the body’s countours in a subtly sexy way before transitioning into dresses, jackets and “coat dresses” with the now iconic sharp shapes that Jil Sander is known for.

The collection even managed to show an almost casual version of a wedding dress – that manages to be both regal and minimal at the same time.

With a lot of white on the catwalk, the collection was broken up with brights in emerald green and an “opened up” paisley print in primary colours.

Although the collection managed to retain its signature Jil Sander aesthetic, the new season showed a little softening, with an obvious nod to 1950s ladylike elegance.

The Jil Sander boutique is located at the Hilton Hotel, #02-22, Tel: 6304 1353. The Spring Summer 2012 collection will be available in March, 2012.
