Known for her avant-garde designs that doesn’t follow fashion trends, you can always look to Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo for truly unique creations at Comme des Garçons. Her Spring/Summer collection is said to question the expectations placed upon the woman, both by herself and by society. With an unconventional silhouette that adds bulge to the waistline, it definitely got us talking about her creations.

Austrian designer Andreas Kronthaler showcased his latest runway for the famed British label, eponymously named after a woman known for her outspoken designs, Vivienne Westwood. Maybe, just maybe, they decided that hats are passé and home furnishings are the next it accessories. After all, fashion can be irreverent.

Statement accessories are bigger and better, according to Jacquemus and Jonathan Anderson’s Loewe SS19 collections. French designer Jacquemus brought out the ultimate accompaniment to his oversized sun hat with an oversized tote complete with lots of fringe. Loewe on the other hand, welcomes spring with enormous two-toned feathered earrings, a step up from the feathered statement earrings we have been wearing all season.

Summer is the time for us to go to the beach. This is not the first time that Karl Lagerfeld has built such a unique set for his runway shows (he had created a supermarket previously for Chanel’s FW14/15), but this definitely takes the cake. Models clutched their shoes while walking barefooted on a sandy beach complete with soft waves. Looks like we are wearing Chanel to the beach next summer.
