While famous nose Jacques Polge has been working for Chanel Perfumes since 1978, his son is about to join the couture brand as a perfumer.
At IFF since 1998, Olivier Polge is continuously demanded by perfume brands. He won the International Perfume Prize in 2009 and has worked on successful fragrances such as Alien by Thierry Mugler, Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf and the first Repetto perfume.
Olivier Polge was chosen by the famous French couture house to continue its production, already in good hands with nose Jacques Polge. He is to join Chanel alongside his father and Creative and Research Director Christopher Sheldrake.
“Jacques Polge will continue to exercise until Olivier Polge takes his place as Chanel Perfumes Creator,” said the brand in a press release.
Olivier Polge will officially start working with Chanel next September.
