Christmas is a time of giving – not only to get presents for your loved ones, but it is also an opportunity to give yourself a little TLC. After all, it’s been a long year. You deserve it.
One thing we recommend splurging on (especially with the year-end bonus) is a nice pair of sneakers.
Versatile enough for most occasions, whether it’s for work or for the weekends. While we still love their high heeled friend, a pretty pair of sneakers is also a sure way to stave off any unwanted blisters and aches.
Here, we’ve rounded up 5 sneaker we are currently loving.
Converse x Hello Kitty, from $59.90
Converse and Hello Kitty are two brands that we Singaporeans grew up with, and the capsule collection born out of this partnership is definitely fulfilling all our childhood dreams.
Available in adult and youth sizes, fans of the Converse’s Chuck Taylor or One Star can find a pair they like.
Puma X Swarovski, $450
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Puma’s classic suede sneakers, they’ve roped in Swarovski for a limited edition design – because if there is anything that can make this design more lust-worthy, it will be crystals.
This collection is exclusively sold at Limited Edt. and On Pedder only.
Christian Louboutin Run Loubi Run, from $1,520
Of course, Christian Louboutin sneakers have to come with the brand’s signature red bottom soles.
This sneaker collection is part of their Spring/Summer 2019 drop and features two colourful designs (including the one featured) and a neoprene studded sock boot version in three colourways – red, black and white.
Giuseppe Zanotti Urchin, $1,190
The new Urchin sneakers by Italian footwear label Giuseppe Zanotti features a unique spiny sole that reflects the namesake of the collection.
Said to encapsulate the dynamism of city life, this series from their SS’19 is available in black and white for both genders, and an additional orange colourway for men and nude for women.
REDValentino sneakers, from $500
Designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli (who had just been crowned as the Designer of the Year at the 2018 British Fashion Awards), REDValentino’s first technical sneaker draws inspiration from the traditional ballet shoe.
Prized for its flexibility, the sneakers are available in nude and black in four design variations – high-cut sock shoe ($550) with and without the ribbon detail and a low-cut counterpart ($500) with and without the ribbon detail.
