If the warmer weather is inspiring you to take your run outdoors, then a new pair of trainers are an essential part of your summer sports kit.

Here we round up our favorites from the new season collections, offering the latest technology and fabrics to boost your performance.

Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35

The design for the new Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35 has taken into account feedback from elite runners such as Mo Farah to offer running fans even more comfort and performance than before. Nike has added a slightly softer cushlon foam to the midsole of the women’s silhouette, specifically for the female foot, as well as more responsive cushioning for improved flexibility. The bottom eyelet has also been moved for extra flex, while the collar at the back of the shoe has been turned away from the heel for extra comfort.

adidas SOLARBOOST

The SOLARBOOST is the latest high-performance running shoe from adidas. The new design is 15g lighter than the previous Energy Boost silhouette, a significant reduction in weight that will help maximize performance, and comes with a lightweight BOOST midsole for energy return to help keep you going. The shoe has also been designed with a wider fit for extra comfort, and a flexible rubber outsole for a grip that will adapt to feet and give a smooth run in a variety of temperatures and conditions.

New Balance Fresh Foam Lazr Luxe

The Fresh Foam Lazr Luxe from New Balance features a Fresh Foam midsole, which is created from a single piece of foam for a comfortable and smooth run, and for the first time ever has been laser-engraved for a unique look. A premium leather and suede upper and a lightweight solid rubber outsole offer durability without weighing you down.

Asics GEL-Quantum 360 Knit

The GEL-Quantum 360 Knit from Asics combines 360 degrees of the brand’s GEL® technology cushioning with a new stretch knit upper to offer improved comfort and support while adapting to the movement of the foot. Ortholite technology in the sole and sockliner also offer breathability and moisture management to help keep feet cooler in the warmer months.

Saucony Ride ISO

The latest release from Saucony is the Ride ISO, the successor to the brand’s Ride 10. Saucony say the new silhouette will offer runners “the perfect fit” thanks to the newly added ISOFIT and FORMFIT technologies, which allow the shoe to adapt to the shape and motion of each foot. Saucony has also combined its EVERUN technology with PWRFOAM cushioning to help absorb impact while still providing energy return.
