When we were younger, we probably didn’t pay much attention to what kind of bag we carried: canvas tote bags we got for free (or a $2 Muji one) to be used in school, affordable leather totes when we decided to “get serious” and if you haven’t now, a minimalist crossbody bag that tells the world that hey, you’re an adult who dresses like one. For those who’re looking for a contender, Furla's Mimi is the answer.

Each bag features tonal stitching: the stitching thread matches the colour of the bag.

And whilst its design isn’t new (it is after all a rectangular flap bag), its merits make up for it: it has a flap on its back for you to easily reach your card and phone, it can be worn two ways (a crossbody and a shoulder bag) and because Furla really wants to drive home the fact that it’s your new everyday bag, it comes in six modern colours (red, lime, orange, pink, white and black) and two sizes (a mini and an S).

The Furla Mimi Mini retails at $555 whilst the S Crossbody retails at $675. Available in stores come January 2019.
